*GIVERS SHOULD HAVE LIMITS*
✍️
First, giving is one quality we must all strive to have. *However,as you give, know who is gaining*.
✍️
Now look at this conversation between Jesus and a Canaanite woman.”Son of David… have mercy on me sir! My daughter has a demon and is in terrible condition”-she said. Jesus kept quiet and never responded to her. It took the intervention of the apostles for Jesus to respond and in responding, this is what he said:
✍️
“I have been sent only to the lost sheep of the people of Isreal” and the rest is history. Mathew 15v21-24
✍️
An intelligent person would ask, since Jesus came to save humanity, was the woman not part of humanity? Did it not portray Jesus as a racist?
✍️
Well, I leave you here to figure that out yourself. But in my opinion, Jesus was only making sure that He knew who was benefiting from his giving,he literally doesn’t want to waste his miracles just to score cheap popularity. If the woman had not been humble enough,…..
✍️
When Satan tempted him to turn the stones into bread, do you think that Jesus had no such powers? He had and still has, but Jesus was very conscious of whom is gaining in all that he gives.
✍️
In the same vein, you should be very careful to knowing who is gaining in what you are giving. *Your generosity should be done with prudence*.
✍️
Gain clarity: *givers should have limit because takers do not have limit*. Anything you feed grows. If you bring out any amount of money or whatever to share, you will always see people who will be taking it from you and they’ll never cease to be available.
✍️
Do not be sentimental in protecting what value you have,it is not meant for everyone. When you see those that need it, you will know.
✍️
Once you sleep, your weapon will be taken away by the enemy. This time, the hunter will become the hunted.
✍️
In the light of the above therefore,in your giving, apply prudence, know who is gaining from your value. This is necessary, else, it’s tantamount to waste.
Think about this
*Do not give up as long as you have something to give*
